As soon as I moved back to LA I knew I wanted to connect with @lemmeadams — we were both musicians in the Bay Area, though we only really met once, and I watched him make magic with his band from afar.

A few months after meeting, we went to Joshua Tree to work on music together. Then the wildfires of January 2025 hit. We got stuck in the desert for a week, with wild winds and power outages, uncertain if we’d be able to return to our homes as we left them.

We wrote “Snake Eyes” in this void.

As soon as I moved back to LA I knew I wanted to connect with @lemmeadams — we were both musicians in the Bay Area, though we only really met once, and I watched him make magic with his band from afar.

In 2024 I made the decision to move home to Southern California after being away for 6 years in the Bay Area and New York. I felt the deserts of my homeland call me back.

It’s been a powerful place for my music for the last year. The source of two EPs and an album. I’ve got two songs coming out this month born straight from the mouth of the Mojave and Sonoran.

Time moves slow here. The skies are vast and cities sit like stars on the hillsides. The mountains hold you and healing waters nourish you.

Really grateful to have found a magical little retreat space @acreslanding ❤️
